When you create an account, we collect:
Your quiz answers are sent to Anthropic's API to generate name suggestions. We also retain them in anonymised form, with no link to your account or identity, to improve our service. If you save a name, the answers that produced it are also stored in your account so you can regenerate from them. This data is private to your account.
We use your data solely to provide your account, save your favourite names, and allow you to return to them. We will never use it for marketing, sell it to third parties, or share it beyond the processors listed below.
Anthropic - Quiz answers are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Your account details are never sent to Anthropic. See privacy policy.
Supabase - Account data is stored in an encrypted database hosted in the EU (West Europe). See supabase.com/privacy.
Stripe - Payment processing. Card details are never stored on our servers. See stripe.com/gb/privacy.
Resend - Transactional email delivery (account confirmation, password reset, partner invitations). Your email address is processed by Resend solely to send these emails. See resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Google Analytics - We use GA4 to understand how visitors use findaname.app (pages visited, traffic sources). Only placed if you accept analytics cookies. No personal data is sent to Google. See policies.google.com/privacy.
Vercel - Hosting. May process standard request logs. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. On deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your data. To exercise any right, contact us at legal@findaname.app. You may also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

Essential cookies. Set by Supabase to keep you logged in. These are required for the site to function and cannot be opted out of.
Analytics cookies (optional). Set by Google Analytics (GA4) to help us understand how people use findaname.app. These are only placed if you accept analytics cookies via the cookie banner. Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_* cookies. See Google's privacy policy.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser's cookies or local storage for findaname.app, which will reset the banner on your next visit.
We will only send you marketing communications if you have opted in to receive them. You can opt in or out at any time from your account settings. The only emails we send without opt-in are transactional: account confirmation, password reset, and billing receipts.

Your name suggestions are generated by AI and are not permanently stored by us beyond what you explicitly save. Your account details never reach Anthropic.
