findaname.app is operated by Wrighthand Ltd, trading as findaname.app. We are committed to protecting your personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
When you create an account, we collect:
We do not permanently store your quiz answers. They are sent to Anthropic's API to generate name suggestions. If you save a name, the answers that produced it are stored alongside it so you can regenerate from them — this data is private to your account.
We use your data solely to provide your account, save your favourite names, and allow you to return to them. We will never use it for marketing, sell it to third parties, or share it beyond the processors listed below.
Anthropic — Quiz answers are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Your account details are never sent to Anthropic. See privacy policy.
Supabase — Account data is stored in an encrypted database hosted in the EU (West Europe). See supabase.com/privacy.
Stripe — Payment processing. Card details are never stored on our servers. See stripe.com/gb/privacy.
Vercel — Hosting. May process standard request logs. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. On deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your data. To exercise any right, contact us at hello@findaname.app. You may also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No advertising or tracking cookies are used for paid subscribers. Free tier users may see contextually targeted adverts served by third-party networks which set their own cookies; a consent notice will be displayed where applicable.
We will never send marketing emails. The only emails we may send are transactional — account confirmation, password reset, or billing receipts.
